Gwen is Two!

Well its really hard to believe. But Gwen is Two!

FUN FACTS:

Weight:  31 lbs.

Height:  2 ft. 11 inches

- She still takes two naps (morning and afternoon), most of the time

- She is cutting her final molar (5 yr old molar)

- She is a good eater. No joke. She can eat Cooper under the table. She is always asking for more. And when she wakes up in the morning the first things out of her mouth is an infatic "EAT."

Favorite food:  Bagels with cream cheese, cookies (of course), cream (ice cream), cake too!

Words/phrases:  Come on, EAT, birth-day, cream, brother (bub-bur), baby, Broxton (brox-tin), funny, potty, shoes (choo-ss), yummy, chicken, froggy.... that is just a few.. she has started repeating almost everything that we say.

Toys She is LOVING:  New baby changing station, Hello Kitty convertible, babies and all of their gear, duplo legos, counting cookie jar, ice cream legos, playing kitchen, any kind of balls

Gwen is quite the 'pill'. She is incredibly sweet and loving. She is a busy little bee. She is independent and has a little bit of sass to her. She is so happy and funny. She has the funniest laugh- a deep 'evil' laugh at times. She says and does the funniest things. She idolizes Cooper. She puts him in his place though, when needed. She actually makes him cry sometimes. She is girly girly who loves shoes and all of her accessories. We love her to death of course. We can't wait to see what she will come up with next. She is growing up so fast. Seems like yesterday she was just a sweet little, smily baby. Now she is such a BIG girl.

She basically steals the show!

Gwen's Cookie Party

This past weekend we celebrated Gwen's birthday with a cookie themed party. Shes loves cookies and it was one of the first words that she spoke. So it made sense. She always says it two or three times "Cookie, cookie, cookie."

I was always have fun making some decorations for the kids birthdays. I decorated some milk cartons for the party favor. I took a stab at making the cute tissue tassels that you see around. And it was super easy and pretty cheap. Just takes a little bit of time. I found this super cute custom pinata. And ordered it from a place called Whack Pinatas.

What is a cookie party without a variety of cookies?

My friend and coworker Erin made the cake which she always makes cute cakes. Gwen loved it!

Gwen and her boyfriend (ha ha).

 This girl loves her accessories!

 And she loves sports!

This was quite the reaction, her big gift from Grandma Boeckman. A baby doll nursery.

She got this pretty cute 'ride' from Mommy and Daddy.

Watch out Gwen is TWO now!

Cooper's 1st Day of Kindergarten

Well its happening.. Cooper is starting Kindergarten. You may ask "how is that possible." Well seriously I really don't know. I would have to say its kinda surreal. Its the beginning of a new adventure for both him and us.  There was much anticipation for the first day, of course. The school supplies, picking out the book bag. Which is a BIG deal, seriously. Man, I use to LOVE the back to school shopping. And I still do love just walking through the school supply section. Maybe its an 'artist thing'. All those new crayolas, and folders, etc. .. fun stuff!! Trying on uniforms, getting a lunch box, starting a new earlier bedtime. Whew! I decided to take off work for the big event. And I was so glad that I did. I got to take a lot of pictures. Got to drop him off and then I stayed for a "yahoo/boo hoo event at the school. I got to meet some of the other mom's in his class. Then after school I picked him up and we had a lunch date at Panda Express. I really just tried to soak it all in. He is such a big boy. We are so proud of him. I know we are a little biased, but he is such a smart little guy. We can't wait to see the things he will accomplish.

The day before, we came home from church and found this 'welcome' sign in our front yard. Which was pretty cool!
First Day - Having some breakfast. He was pretty excited!

Pretty cool Ninja turtle book bag.

Here is his teacher - Mrs. Zambo.

Lined up and getting ready to go to class.

I was so glad I got to walk to class with him. He was so cute sitting at his little desk.
