Well its hard to believe but Cooper is 3 Months old. Joe and I are having so much fun as he does new things all of the time. He is starting to actually reach for toys and hold onto them. He smiles all of the time. And his new thing is to watch 'Baby Einstein' videos. He watches the whole 35 minute video and talks and kicks and bubbles at the mouth. Its the cutest thing! The only bad thing is now he likes tv and if we are holding him and the tv is on he has to turn his head to see what is going on. So we are thinking we might have created a monster... 3 months old and already watching ESPN with Daddy, I'm really in trouble.. HA!
We took our first road trip to Okeene, OK this weekend to Joe's Family Reunion. An 8+ hour drive and Cooper did great. He slept alot and only fussed a little bit when he was wet or hungry.
Joe's grandma, Arlene (Luetkemyer) Boeckman was apart of a family of 11 children. This reunion that entire family gets together. With close to 250 people attending. This was the 10th reunion. The first reunion was in 1981 and the next five years later. Since then they have meet every 3 years in Okeene. They are decendents of John and Anna Luetkemeyer (Joe's great grandparents).
Aunt Betty compiled and prepared genological charts for all 11 children of John and Anna. The families were assigned different colored shirts. The Arlene Luetkemeyer Boeckman family was red.
Here is the portion of the family tree for Jerry (Joe's dad). There are 11 children in Jerry's family.
And now the newest addition is Cooper!

A church service just for the reunion. The whole church packed with all the different colored t-shirts. The Boeckman's took up a pretty good chunk with the red shirts.
The dance is always hopping.
Cooper slept through some of the dance. But he was awake and dancing for a good chunk of it. He is quite the party animal.
Its a tradition that when Joe and his family visit Okeene to go out and visit the Family Farm. The farm house that Jerry and his siblings grew up in is still there and Joe's cousin Matt currently lives there. Here is the wheel with 'Boeckman' on it that you see when you pull up to the farm.
