21 Months -Coopyisms

Fun things he is doing. (and not so fun things.. ha)

*Tapping his little fingers -while waiting for you to do something. Ex. if he is watching a movie and the previews are over.. the movie menu 'pops up'.. he knows and he taps his fingers and looks at you. If you don't go press play.. he will. He knows which button on the DVD player to press. And we DIDN'T teach him that.. HA!

*Putting his foot up on the table during dinner - because he knows I will yell at him.

*Saying "Utt-Ohh" or holding his hand over his mouth when he does something that was an 'Utt-Oh'.

*Discovered ketchup and wants to 'dip' everything in it. And I do mean EVERYTHING. Currently into dipping his green beans.. kinda gross. But at least he is eating them, right?

* Doing well with a fork and spoon, just sometimes has a hard time focusing during dinner.

*Really loving the movie 'Up' and 'Toy Story' .. watches at least one of them everyday. Likes Cars too.

*Favorite toy - wooden race car ramp. New doors and latches (valentines gift). And everything else. He plays with everything. Even some of his baby toys.. he moves from one thing to the next.

*Really getting good at his puzzles. Likes to do those or color while I'm making dinner.

*Loves to sprint Up and Down grandma's hall. Maybe he is going to be a future runner?

*Climbing on EVERYTHING.. the couch, his high chair. I'm always hollering at him.

*Babbling like crazy. He really uses his hands a lot while 'talking'... pretty funny.. must be going to start talking more soon?

Happy Valentines

We celebrated Valentine's a few days early since Joe's schedule is a little hectic. Cooper got quite a few nice surprises.

A new latches board from Mommy & Daddy. Now Cooper will be able to open all locks in our house. Probably not the best idea.. ha ha.

A gift from Grandma Boeckman.

Elmo book. Cooper really likes it, but he gets confused which way is 'right side up' since one of the characters is up side down. HA! Poor kid.

Cooper got Grandma a flower since she baby sat him, so Deb & Joe could have a 'date night' the weekend before Valentine's. We had a great time. We did a couple massage at a local spa. It was so relaxing and awesome, we might have to do that again. We ate lunch at Joe's favorite place in Webster. A little 'hole in the wall', cajun/bbq place. Then we did some early b-day shopping for Cooper since it was his nap time. We had a fun afternoon playing with Cooper and giving him his Valentines. Than that evening Joe and I went out for a steak dinner at a new place we hadn't tried before. We missed Cooper, but we hadn't done anything just "US" for a while, so that was really nice! Overall we had a really fun day!

Aunt Kari and Betsy brought Cooper some surprises. Some cookies and a Clifford the Dog tshirt.

Cooper waited up late for Daddy on Valentine's to give him his present...

Cooper couldn't wait to see what it was ...

a retro Cardinals baseball tshirt.

We had a great Valentines!

Potty

Yep he is Potty-trained already.. before age 2. Ha ha.... yeah right.. I wish!!! But we did buy him a little potty to start introducing him to the idea. And working on it a little bit. He also got an Elmo Goes Potty video. Which is pretty funny. We brought in his little white potty and told him he has his own potty. He immediatley walked into the bathroom and sat on it.. with his clothes fully on. HA! Well at least he knew what it was.. sorta. One step at a time.
