It was a beautiful fall day. Joe was off of school after a long week, with parent-teacher conferences, plus his final exam in his "Master's Plus" night class. So I took a vacation day.. and we headed down to Eckert's. Cooper & I had never been there. (Eckert's is a local orchard with a restaurant & country store). It was a really cute place. And we couldn't asked for more perfect weather!
This is Cooper & Joe as we are 'loadin' up' and leaving the house.
Family pic- Cooper is less than thrilled.. ha ha.
Here we are waiting for a table at the little country restaurant. The food was really good. Fried biscuits.. man, those were dangerous. And I had country fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans... Mmmm... I love good 'ole down-home cookin'.
Cooper's looks like he is getting ready to 'whack' someone with that.. HA!
"Yea.. I love pumpkins."
"I'll take this mini one."
Getting ready to do some apple pickin'
Picking his 1st apple.
Cooper was very proud of his selection.
He carried his apple around the whole rest of the time.
Dropped his apple.
Yea, gotta get.
And found another one.
Joe's mom had a good time too.
Now for the pumpkin pickin'
Cooper had his eye on this one.
Still looking.. .and still carrying his apple.
Hmmm... maybe this one.
Hmm.. he isn't so sure now.
"Yeah, I'll take this one".
Cooper ended up getting a mini pumpkin with a 'funny face'. So we had a great time. We'll probably have to make this a 'yearly tradition.'
