Easter Sunday Dinner

After Easter morning at home, we headed to Grandma Boeckman. And to Cooper's surprise the Easter bunny had stopped by there too, leaving him a few more surprises.

Here is what the Easter bunny left at Grandma Boeckman's.

The Easter bunny also dropped off gifts at Aunt Kari & Uncle Ryans and Aunt Kerrie and Uncle Joe's. Cooper must have really been a good boy.

Easter Morning & 1st Bday

Yeah... its morining. And my birthday... and Easter.







Coming out to find his Easter basket.



The Easter bunny had an outdoor theme to his gifts. There was a swimming pool, swimsuit and some water toys. And some other random fun stuff.

Cooper was funny, he literally pick up two toys from the basket and then crawled off the other way. We had to encourage him to go look at the rest of his basket.



Not too happy about putting the bday hat on... ha ha.



He got over that pretty fast. "Cool what is this thing."



"Yeah, I like this egg-thing."

1st Birthday Party

Cooper turned 'ONE' a few weeks ago. Its hard to believe that a whole year has just flown by. God has really blessed us with Cooper. More than we can express or really even comprehend. He is so much fun to be around and watch in action, of course he keeps us very busy. But we wouldn't have it any other way. He is always smiling and laughing and it just lights up your day. We had a small birthday party with family and close friends. Even though Cooper is starting to have a touch of stranger anxiety he did really great! He wasn't real jazzed about the cake, but he poked around at it. Our rainy weather cleared up just in time to allow for some perfect weather to have some of the party out of our deck. Of course you can't have a kids birthday party without a theme. Or a least I can't .. ha ha. Guess that was ingrained from my childhood. My Mom always did such a good job of making birthdays very special and a big deal in our house. So we decided to go with a mickey theme. Since from very early on Cooper took a liking to Mickey when watching the Disney Channel in the mornings. We didn't use the traditional mickey but he is kinda new, simplified character. Its really something you only see at the Disney Parks, but we happen to see them a few years ago when we were at Disney World. I really like the simplified characters. Just like their name, "Cuties". Anyway we had some decorations I bought and most of the others that I made myself. One perk of being a designer.













Fondant mickeys were made by one of my co-workers and friends Erin. She did a great job! They turned out soo cute!

The party favors were mickey head rice krispie treats dipped in chocolate. I had some help with this. Kari made these. It was a lot of work, I'm sure. But they really came out cute! And tasty.



Well you can't have a paryt without some snacks.

Starting to get annoyed... 'can I get some cake already'.

Hmm.... I like this mickey thing.



Cooper wasn't thrilled about the cake. He only took a couple bites. He was more interesting in chewing on his spoon.



In Cooper's opinon the best part about the gifts was the tissue paper. Next year he will ask for just tissue paper and no gifts.. ha ha.

And for the 'Grand Finale'. Cooper got a 'Cozy Coupe'. I always wanted one of these little red cars. He really loved it! He stayed in it quite a while, while various family members pushed it around the deck.
