16 Months

(not sure she was too thrilled about me taking her pic)

Well I think an update on Gwen is a little bit over due (slight under statement).

Time continues to keep flying by. Gwen's little personality just comes out more and more. She is such a sweet little thing. A little sassy at times. But she is just so happy and cute.

•She is walking pretty well. And sometimes even kinda fast. She will be running after Cooper in no time.

•She is a busy body. She is always walking around. Back and forth and across the entire room. Sometimes just doing her own thing. She has started to play well by herself. If we are playing a board game with Cooper, she will come over and check on us. Maybe even sit there for a little bit, but then she is up and off doing her own thing.

•She has started nodding yes to respond. And even does this cute litte "un huh" noise with it. She tells us if she wants something to eat or drink by doing that. Or what books she wants to read at nap and bedtime. Its probably my new favorite thing that she is doing!

•She is an eater. And that is a slight understatement. That girl can put the food away. It still kind amazes me. She really eats most things we give her. We had a little tougher time with meat. Probably because of the texture. But she is getting better with that.

•She loves to feed herself and she is getting pretty good at using a spoon and a fork.

•New things she has eaten lately are:  Shepards pie (even the meat), a ham sandwich with some miracle whip, blueberries, bagel with cream cheese and a mini waffle that she holds herself and takes bites.

•Favorite toys: She loves the couple of baby dolls that she got for Christmas. She loves sitting in her new pink lounge chair (just like brothers). She is really into the play kitchen. She really loves her new little people princess castle.

•She still loves music. She is always dancing or moving to music. Whether its a commerical on tv. Just riding in the car with the radio on. Or if we are eating out and there is faint song in the background, she will hear it and be moving to the beat. I think she is destined to be a dancer or musician someday.

•She has started getting to watch a little bit of a movie at bedtime with her brother. Its the cutest thing. Both of them, side by side, in their little chairs. With their matching tables. Eating a snack and watching a show. Pretty dang cute!

SFA Christmas Program '14

Cooper had his Christmas program at school back in early December. It was so cute and he did such a great job. Above Joe is helping him get dressed and putting on his bow tie.

Typical he had to give me the cheesest possible smile when I took his picture.

As we were leaving, he looking so cute in his dressy jacket.

 Before the program started.

The kids were all patiently waiting to get started. It was pretty hilarious watching them. They would sit down when their class wasn't singing. Sometimes all of the classes sang together, so they all were standing up. Cooper was very serious and did all of the hand motions and seemed to know all of the songs. He was quite the performer.

After the program, a special visitor stopped by... Santa. Cooper was excited. But as you can see in the picture above. Gwen was not amused. She was totally happy and fine as we were walking up to see Santa, but the second I went to put her down on his lap, she went hysterical.

So Cooper decided to pose with Santa and he got to chat with him a little bit.

Grandma Boeckman was with us. Your only allowed a limited number of guests, due to space.

After the program, there was cookies and drinks for refreshments.

Gwen enjoyed people watching and she loves music, so she had a good time!

This is one of Cooper's teachers, Mrs. Laury. Cooper really loves being in her class.

Christmas Morning

Looks like Santa came to our house.

Here they come to check it out.

Gwen went immediately for her new pink chair.

And  Cooper immediately got his new Care Bear out of his stocking.
